Last Friday, Bulgaria played an international friendly against the club Shakhtar Donetsk. The match ended in a goalless draw in Turkey. Dimitar and Petrov (from Manchester City) were absent due to injury. Dimitar is nursing a knee injury but he might be available for the midweek match with the National Team.

Manchester United lost agains Chelsea at Stamford Bridge by one goal. And now the club is in third spot trailing leaders Chelsea by 5 points; Arsenal is second place on level points but better goal difference. Dimitar did not play due to injury and Vidic remained on the bench.

The fixtures for the quarter finals of the Carling Cup were drawn last week. Manchester United, the current Cup holder, will face Tottenham Hotspur, the other finalist last season and Dimitar’s former club. The match will take place on December1, the same day the Ballon d’Or is announced. On that same day, Portsmouth will play against Aston Villa. A day later, Blackburn Rovers will face Chelsea and Manchester City will play against Arsenal.
