FIFPro, the International Footballers Association, has published the nominees for the World XI award. There are 55 players distributed in the 4 main field duties. Edwin Van der Sar, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Giggs and Rooney are on the list. Cristiano is also among the nominees. However, Dimitar did not make the cut. Bulgaria won in a friendly away match against Malta. The score line ended 1:4 in favor of Bulgaria. At last, Dimitar played this match and scored two of his team’s goals. However, the score does not tell the whole story as the last 3 goals for Bulgaria came in the last 15 minutes.

Last Friday, Bulgaria played an international friendly against the club Shakhtar Donetsk. The match ended in a goalless draw in Turkey. Dimitar and Petrov (from Manchester City) were absent due to injury. Dimitar is nursing a knee injury but he might be available for the midweek match with the National Team.
