There is a couple of news today about Dimitar relating to the Bulgaria-Serbia match. First, Ferguson has confirmed Dimitar has a hamstring injury, but it is just a strain. The manager says Dimitar will not take part in the match against Aston Villa on Saturday or against Villareal at Spain on Tuesday. Probably, Dimitar will feature against Manchester City for the derby. Ferguson is cautious with that kind of injury for his forwards, Saha suffered long from it.

The other news comes from Dimitar’s big-mouth-agent Emil Danchev. He said, before the match against Serbia, that Dimitar is thinking about quitting the Bulgarian National Football Team. The timing of this statement harmed Dimitar’s reputation. I think it creates more burden on him and fans will question even more his commitment.

Dimitar should take a page of Cristiano's book in this matter. Cristiano has always put Country before club. I am not saying Dimitar should do the same, but he should fight for Bulgaria even if his teammates are not as good as he is. He is the captain of the National Team and as such, he should stay on the ship even if it sinks.

If the fans, the coach or the Bulgarian Federation executives ask him to leave, that is another matter.

He is so young to quit the national team... but it's understable as well, Bulgary is not a very competitive team.
