WC: Away vs Cyprus

Bulgaria will not qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. In fact, the team was humiliated by Cyprus with 4 goals against one scored by Dimitar. The match was held in Larnaca, home of Cyprus. It was only Cyprus’ second win in the qualifying campaign. Dimitar played the full 90 minutes.

Cyprus scored two goals in the first half, in the 11th and 20th minute; Dimitar scored near the end, in the 45th minute assisted by Georgiev. But in the second half, Cyprus scored two more goals in the 54th and 78th minutes. Petrov and Yanev were also booked in the second half.

In the mean time, Italy drew as visitors with Ireland ensuring their place in the World Cup. The Republic of Ireland is second place of the group and might have an opportunity to fight for a place in a rematch against a second placed team in another European qualifying group.

They must have known it was really hard to fight for the second place at that point. Besides, it gave them away when the training for THE OLYMPICS in Javelin was released =P

That was a terrible match.Our team was without defend- the defenders were so weak. I've never seen so week our team.
