Bulgaria ended with a good result for the last match of the 2010 World Cup qualifying. The qualification was lost the previous weekend and only their pride (and the index for the 2012 Euro qualification stages) was at stake. It was a goal fest; Bulgaria destroyed Georgia, 6:2 in Sofia. Dimitar scored a hat-trick.
The first half began with a goal from Dimitar in the 6th minute. Later, Petrov scored in the 14th and Dimitar again in the 23rd. Angelov scored in the 32nd minute and Georgia scored in the 34th. Dimitar scored his third goal in the 36th and Petrov scored again in the 44th minute.

Little had happened in the second half. Georgia scored their second goal with a penalty in the 51st minute and one of their players was sent off for a second yellow card. Bandalovski was booked in the 87th minute.
